“For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.”

– Matt. 25:35-36

Our priority as believers, while here on this earth, is to reach the world with the Truth of God’s Holy Word. And as James explained in his letter,

“But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”

With this in mind, this fall we are putting together care packets for the homeless in our area. We have made a list of materials:

  • Blankets
  • Tote bags
  • Socks
  • Hats
  • Gloves
  • Scarves
  • Hand/feet warmers
  • Baby wipes (travel size)
  • Tissues (individual packs)
  • Combs/brushes
  • Travel toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Chapstick
  • Lotion
  • Bandaids
  • Travel mugs/cups
  • Mints
  • Protein bars
  • Hot chocolate packs
  • Beef jerky
  • Applesauce/fruit cups
  • Individually wrapped cheese crackers
  • Bottled water

Everyone is welcome to donate. Once the packets have been assembled, our Youth Group will head out to hand out packets in mid-November!

I would love to encourage anyone interested in helping out with this project to bring supplies by Summit Bible Church ASAP, so that we can help our community; and with God’s direction, find some opportunities to share the Gospel Light!
